Personal Care
Personal care is providing shower assistance and or basic assistance with dressing and grooming, combing of hair, helping with dental care.
Respite Care
When our Support Workers provide care to a person so their primary/family carer can have a break.
Medication Reminders
Clients may need a daily reminder to take their prescribed medication – our services only prompts the clients. Unless in a Webster/Blister pack,our Support Workers do not administer medication. A trained health professional will be arranged when medication administration is required.
Settling in service
When a client is discharged from hospital and isn’t able to get home following their stay, we provide a support worker to collect them from the hospital and settle them in at home before leaving.
Alzheimer's and dementia care
Trained support workers provide specialised, in home care to clients with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Companionship
As clients are sometimes isolated by circumstances beyond their control, support workers can visit at home. Be it a cuppa and chat, cards, craft or sharing memories; the small things aren’t so little.
Meal Preparation
Preparing food is such a normal daily activity for many, and a support worker can assist with meal preparation. Apart from assisting with good nutrition, the social interaction can be fun and beneficial.
Housework
Support Workers give assistance with domestic duties eg. vacuuming, dusting, mopping and laundry.
Shopping
Assisting clients with grocery shopping and running errands such as collecting mail, collecting scripts from the pharmacy.
Incidental Transportation
Should a client need to be collected or taken to hospital or to a medical appointment a Support Worker is available to assist.
Laundry
Assisting the client with hanging out washing and bringing it in. General laundry duties and occasional ironing.
Social Activities
Outings and transport are important ways to continue being involved in your local community. Support Workers can assist you in maintaining your links with clubs eg. book club, card groups and bowling clubs. Often clients enjoy having a Support Worker around to help with recreational activities at home, the choice is up to you.
Organise Mail
Assisting a client with incoming mail and occasional filing of paperwork.
Garden and pet care
Watering of plants and walking or feeding the pets.
Overnight and Palliative Care
We provide 12/24 hour live-in care in the client’s home.
